"Pots New"

From time to time we'll post images of our latest glaze efforts. Some good some not.

All pots are fired to time and temperature schedules approximating cone 6 in ConeArt/Shimpo computer controlled electric kilns, oxidation atmosphere.

Here is a flat tray as an example of using glass as decoration at cone six.

(The kids call these "Dr Seuss" trees!)

This is an example of our Moonshadow Glaze with glass pieces added to give the blue accent marks. Cone 6 ish oxidation (electric). We've done several pieces this way. Just remember a little bit goes a long way, otherwise you will wind up with the pot stuck to the shelf! Added April 12,2008

This is an example of our latest glaze "Prairie Landscapes". As with the "Mountain Mist" glaze the use of an unglazed surface gives an added dimension.Nov.9,2007
